Kelley Cappell

With a B.S. in biology, I am a qualified scientific illustrator situated in Geneva, Illinois. As the illustrator for Brookfield Zoo in Chicago Illinois, for five years, I have learned to adapt my artistic methods as needed. I enjoying illustrating all aspects of nature including animals, insects and foliage. I can compose artwork applying the traditional method by using acrylic paint, pen and ink, and pencil. I also create much of my work digitally in Photoshop and Illustrator. I take great care and ownership to produce quality images that reflect my love for my subjects and my craft.

On a side note, I also enjoy creating whimsical illustrations as well. Be it from animals to superheroes.
